CBCCOC Bilingual Choir
Bilingual Choir: Calendar Joining the voices of our Cantonese and English speaking congregations, our mixed voice bilingual choir seeks to glorify God in music. Each week they lead the congregation in worship and magnify the message of salvation in song. The choir is a true companion to the ministry of the preached Word as music deepens our understanding of and response to the spoken message. The choir also continually leads the church to a deeper understanding and appreciation of God’s gift of music in relation to our worship of Him. Practices are held Sunday afternoons. If you are interested, we encourage the musically inclined to join us in worship. Please contact our Minister of Music, Doris Shin, for more information. Worship Teams: A Worship Team is a group of people that have dedicated their gifts to blessing the Lord and leading the congregation in worship. Our goal is to lead people to worship the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind and strength so that each person will sense that they have personally met God in worship. As a team, we serve together by using our gifts of music by singing or playing instruments. Others serve as moderators or leaders in specific activities such as greetings, announcements, hospitality or ushering. Still, others have gifts in sound, video, multimedia and lighting. All, however, have a passion for worshipping our great God so that He would be glorified in our worship ministry. Each team prepares to lead the congregation in worship on Sunday If the Lord is leading you to minister to this church body in the ministry of worship, we are excited and welcome you to find how you have been specifically shaped for this ministry. Currently, we have Worship Teams in Cantonese, English and Mandarin. Christmas Choir: Our annual Christmas Program started in 1993 and has become a "tradition". Christmas is a perfect time to share the good new of Salvation, and music, a perfect language to use. The 50-member CBCCOC Adult Choir, which sings most Sundays during the Bilingual Worship Service and also at various events in Orange County by invitation, forms the core group of the Christmas Choir, which also includes some members of the congregation, who wish to participate and serve in this yearly program of celebration and thanksgiving. The Chrismas Program also includes presentations by the Youth Choir and the Children Choir.
