CBCCOC is served in a full-time capacity by Pastor Dr. James Chiu. Pastor Chiu was born in Swatow, China. His mother became the first Christian in their village. Fleeing from persecution for their Christian faith, Pastor Chiu and his family moved to Hong Kong. He became a Christian as youth and was called into the ministry. Dr. Chiu spent many years in preparation for the ministry. He married Minnie Cheung, who prepared to be a missionary nurse before they met. She helped Dr. Chiu through his years of studies, from 1968 to 1972, by working as a full time nurse. They started our mother church, Chinese Baptist Church of Orange County, in April 1974 and founded our church (CBCCOC) in 1993.
